More Leadership Opportunities ~ giving voice to all Houses and all Year Levels.
Avid and dedicated readers of the fortnightly Campus news might recall previous entries revolving around Student Leadership.
In August there was discussion of our College Student Executive and the importance of servant leadership as the model that most aligns with our College values of Faith, Education and Service.
In October we were introduced to the outstanding crop of House Captains who will inspire and guide their Houses as part of the House Competition. These Captains have already had a taste of leadership in their planning and running of the Pastoral period for their House on November 12 and now move to planning for the welcome of new Year 7's to their Houses on 31 January.
In this entry I introduce a third major leadership team at the College, the Student Representative Council. This group of students, made up of students from 7 to 12, is often a little less visible than the Executive and House Captains but the role they play for the College is no less important.
The SRC give selflessly of their time to meet and help the Student Executive and College Leadership to interrogate ideas and possible initiatives. They are an important sounding board who give student voice to each House and each Year Level ensuring that the big College decisions have been reflective of what is in the interests of everyone. Furthermore, the SRC play a leading role in bringing the Mothers and Father's Day breakfasts to life.
The members of our SRC for 2025 are
Alisha Avard | Marian | Chairperson for 2025 |
Ella Bence | Marian | 8 |
Evie Surridge-Arabian | Glowrey | 8 |
Oakley Gent | Glowrey | 8 |

And of course in Term I we will add the energy and enthusiasm of two of our new Year 7 students.
Student voice and opportunities for leadership growth will continue to be a focus in 2025 and with the quality of our College Student Executive, House Captain team and now SRC, we are certainly in good hands.
