Sporting News
It has been a massive few weeks for sport at BNPS. Here is a snapshot of what has been happening.
Golf
A few weeks ago a number of students competed in the Division Golf Tournament after being selected by Tony Collier during golf clinics. Well done to the students that competed.
Ryan finished 4th and Jasmine 2nd playing especially well and qualifying through to the Western Region Final: Congratulations to Ryan and Jasmine for making it through, both played well on the day which was filled with some very tough competition.
Ryan finished 15th on 51 shots, while Jasmin came 4th on 55 shots.
State Athletics
Following an outstanding performance at the Regional Athletics our amazing 11 yr boys relay team qualified through to the State Championships. The team made up of Beau, Jai Tommy and Oliver competed against the best athletes from all over Victoria. The boys ran a very smooth, fast race finishing 15th in the State. Beau also qualified though in high jump finishing 17th in the State. Well done, making a State Championship is an amazing achievement.
Junior Athletics
Thursday 14th November we had the Junior Athletics Carnival. The weather was very kind to us providing a perfect morning for the event. All students from Foundation through to Year 2 had a chance to compete in running, long jump, shotput, discus and javelin. It was so fantastic to see all of the students involved having a great time and giving all events their absolute best. Congratulations to all competitors and a special well done to those that managed to win a ribbon on the day.
I would like to again thank all of the teachers, parents and especially the Year 6 leaders that assisted in the lead up to the event and the day.
