Principal's Report

Dear Parents/Guardians and friends of Nazareth

Currently, we are in our exam period.  We are near completing our Unit 3 & 4 exams, our Year 9 students undertook their exams last week, Unit 1 & 2 exams commenced earlier this week and our Year 10 exams have commenced today.  This experience allows our students to work through exam conditions and master the skills required to maximise exams and time management.  We hope these experiences will significantly assist our students in expanding their skills in the future.

As we near the end of the year, our students must continue to complete work requirements and associated activities to the best of their ability.  Incomplete work requirements in Years 7 to 9 will require the students to stay back until completion.  It will also have a bearing on their final reports.

Year 9s are have been preparing for their City Experience unit of work.  I congratulate them on completing the preparatory work and wish them all the best as they venture into the city to complete their research.

I congratulate Jordan Tissera, Year 11 MK6, who travels to Italy with school leaders from other secondary schools within the Diocese.  Jordan will be immersed in the Catholic Faith and experience servant leadership.  I acknowledge all his efforts over his five (5) years at Nazareth College.  He is a genuinely worthy ambassador and may his light of fire be ignited by this experience.  Jordan will also be Our Faith and Mission Student Leader in 2025 when he commences his Year 12 studies. We look forward to him bringing this light into our lives on his return.  I thank Jordan’s parents and all the staff members who have helped him in his formation over the years.

In conclusion, I remind parents to continue working together with our staff to ensure that all expectations are adhered to over the coming weeks.  Shortly, I will send our Community a letter articulating our combined expectations in the hope of continuing our quest to be an outstanding school, Academically, Spiritually and Respectfully.

God Bless, and thank you for your support.

Mr Sam Cosentino
