INTER-SCHOOL BOWLS REPORT

St Arnaud Bowling Club played host to the North Central Inter-school bowls on Wednesday 30th October.

For the third year in a row, Donald High’s team was declared the  victor.  As well as our team winning,  the rink of Hunter, Chase and Jaya was declared the best of the day by winning all their games.  Hunter starred in all games. The team of Jam, Judd and Jessie came second.

I was impressed by the effort put in by our bowl’s team and hope that we can make it four wins in a row in 2025. Well done to Ms McKay who prepared the students in Phys. Ed. Classes.

Clay Birds!

The NCD Clay birds school shoot was held on Wednesday 30th October at the St Arnaud Gun Club. Charlie Burke, Marty Burke, Hayden Clark and Lyric Davis represented Donald HS proudly. There were 15 students competing from 5 schools. 

The lads are showing real improvement each shoot they attend. They continue to listen to advice, follow instructions and behave responsibly. We came home with two wins and a new goal to beat the St Arnaud team who managed to smash 4 more targets than Donald. St Arnaud’s total 62 targets, Donald’s total 58 targets. We’ll get them next  year!

Congratulations to Hayden who took at Senior Boys 1st place and to Lyric Davis taking out 2nd in Junior Boys. Charlie had a shoot off for third in Senior boys but dropped one more target.

EBT (Energy Breakthrough)

The Energy Breakthrough is fast approaching and so is the excitement for Donald High School and their new trike, “It’s a GOODE THING!”  The race is held in Maryborough from the 22nd - 24th November and ALL are welcome and encouraged to visit and support the DHS EBT Team.  Please wear your Donald Blues clothing and cheer the fellas along!  Our trike number is ‘66’ and will be as fast as lightning!  It would be great to hear lots of cheering and clapping as it flies by!  Thank you again to all valued contributions, sponsors and donations in kind!  Without the support of the Donald Community, this trike would still be a dream!  Go you Goode Thing!
