Year One - Spotlight on Learning

Dear Families,

This week, our students were thrilled to participate in the Footsteps Incursion, where they got to "Dance the Night Away" to the hit song by Dua Lipa! It was fantastic to see everyone getting into the groove, dancing rhythmically, and following along with the expert dance instructions. 

Year 1 and Year 3 Walkathon Fundraiser – Friday, 29th November

Next Friday, 29th November, the Year 1 and Year 3 students will come together for a special Walkathon Fundraiser to support the Sisters of the Nativity St Gianna Orphanage in Nigeria. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to teach students about the importance of helping others in need. We kindly ask that each child bring a small donation, which can be handed to their classroom teacher.

Please remember to dress your child in their sports uniform, along with a hat and a filled water bottle to stay hydrated during the event. We look forward to seeing the students walk with purpose and make a difference for a worthy cause!

Mathematics: In Mathematics this week, we will continue our focus on measuring time.

English:In English next week, the students will be focusing on the sounds ey and eigh, as seen in words like "eight" and "they."

Religious Education: In Religion this week, the students are learning about the season of Advent and the significance of the Advent wreath.

Auslan: We are learning the signs for sea creatures like "penguin" and "whale".
