The Stand Up Project(SUP)

New Posters to Support SUP Messages

The Stand Up Project student leaders, or SUP leaders, have been working on lots of different activities to support the implementation of the Stand Up Project. As student voice is at the forefront of the Stand Up Project, these actions have been largely driven by the students, with support from staff where needed.

A group of the Year 5 SUP Leaders have been diligently working on developing posters to support the messaging around the 4Ds (strategies of how to be an upstander), reminders of how all students can be leaders, as well as explaining what a bystander is and why that is not the action we should take if we see examples of “mean on purpose” behaviour, or repeated “mean on purpose” behaviours that could constitute bullying.

Hearing these messages from their peers, not just the adults in the school community, really assists our student population to engage and connect. We are very proud of our amazing SUP leaders and the positive role modelling they are demonstrating to build a culture of respect and upstanding at BEPS!
