Year 4: Mathematics

Maths in Year 4

The Year 4’s have been engaging in some fun and interactive fluency maths games to tune them into maths! Their current favourite is called ‘Multiplication Zone’ which allows students to practise their multiplication skills without the stress of racing against each other. 

Furthermore, we have been building on our understanding of financial mathematics where we have been budgeting money by adding and subtracting from an agreed sum. The students have thoroughly enjoyed planning for an imaginary party and calculating everything they need to buy things such as balloons and food - but ensuring they stay within their budget!
