Cardiologists in the Making!

During our most recent topic in science students conducted a Heart Dissection. Students have been studying Body Systems: Living Connections. They specifically, learnt about the Digestive System, Respiratory System and the Cardiovascular system. As part of the Cardiovascular system, they completed a Heart Dissection. Students conducted the experiment in an ethical and safe manner. The dissection allowed them to really see how the blood travels to the heart, the differences between the two sides and to observe the values within the heart that stop blood from flowing backwards. Well done budding Year 8 Cardiologists!
