Grade 1 Billy Cart Incursion

On Monday 18 March, year 1 students took part in a team building exercise where they further developed their listening, communication and collaborative skills. They had great fun 'driving' the billy carts and also using their creative minds to co-construct vehicles. 

Interschool Chess

The Chess Victoria Zonal Inter-school Tournament was held during the school holidays. Our TPS chess players performed exceptionally well and collectively earned 30 points (just 1.5 points behind the winning team):

• Telek (Grade 5) achieved 11.5 and 4th Individual Ranking;
• Jacob (Grade 4) achieved 7.5;
• Ioannis (Grade 3) achieved 6.5;
• Jerome (Grade 4) achieved 4; and
• Arthur (Prep) achieved 4.

At the completion of the competiton, Toorak Primary was ranked 2nd amongst the 19 participating schools. Our Toorak Primary School chess players have now progressed to the state championships later in the year.

A huge thanks to Felix and the team for arranging the Chess tournament.
