Emergency Management arrangements 2024

In the case of an emergency where the school needs to be evacuated (gas leak, fire, etc.), the school has in place an Emergency Management Plan.  

 

We have practice drills each term with all staff and students moving to the meeting area on the front oval where rolls are taken and all rooms and various teaching areas of the school are checked to make sure no students, staff or visitors to the school are left in the buildings.  

 

If there was a major issue at Red Cliffs Secondary College where it was not safe or practical to evacuate to the meeting place on the front oval, we would need to move to one of the other safe places as indicated on the map below.  Every precaution will be taken to keep our students safe including taking medication, epi pens, first aid kits, etc. to the new evacuation site so every student is catered for and families would be notified via Compass. We hope that we never have an emergency evacuation but we are prepared if necessary.
