We are learning to research different geological events using credible sources.

VOCABULARY

Research: Create questions and use different resources to attempt to answer them.

Geological events: Any events that happen on or below the Earth’s surface. E.g. Earthquake and Volcanic eruptions.

Credible Source: a trustworthy and reliable place to find information.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Using a device, research a geological event that has occurred within the world. Write down the research and where you sourced the information from (newspaper, book, website). For each source of information, determine whether the website was a credible source of information and explain why or why not. 

Research questions include:

Where did it happen?

When did it happen?

How did it affect people?
