Parent Read

This informative article advises parents on how to share information with their gifted children -

“You know your child better than anyone else. Don’t allow anyone to place a label of convenience on your child that doesn’t actually fit them. Love your child and remember that despite any advanced talents, they’re just kids — and they need you.”

2024 AEL Schools Minecraft Challenge

A number of our students in Years 4-6 are working collaboratively on a Minecraft Competition themed, "Neighbourhood Heroes." The competition challenges students to design a neighbourhood showcasing diverse professions and emphasising collaboration. It's a fantastic opportunity to explore civics, citizenship, and the importance of every profession in society. The program will foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Let's build a better understanding of our communities together!

Easter Reading

Easter presents a wonderful opportunity to foster a love for reading in children. Encouraging children to read fosters imagination and creativity. Easter themed stories transport young readers to magical worlds filled with talking animals, hidden treasures, and exciting adventures. By immersing themselves in these narratives, children can unleash their creativity and develop important cognitive skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and empathy.

In addition, The Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has recently announced its Shortlisted Books for 2024. This is a great resource for parents when selecting a book for their child to read. Below is the link to the shortlist titles for each category.
