3/4VA - Learning

Hi All! 

Year 3/4 VA has been very busy.  Last week, students worked hard, in teams, to complete our RE unit on Healing and Forgiveness. This week, they have dived into their Inquiry unit, Blue Earth and headed off to an excursion to Werribee Zoo. To top it all off, some of our Year 3 students received their Sacrament of Reconciliation!  

In our Inquiry/RE unit on Forgiveness and Healing, the students explored the four stages of Reconciliation and made connections to Bible stories such as Zaccheaus.  Below you can see the posters that the children, working in teams, created to demonstrate the four stages of reconciliation in the story of Zacchaeus.

Hi everybody! 

These past few weeks in 3/4 VA in Religion we have been discussing forgiving and healing.  One of our tasks involved studying the Bible story Zacchaeus.  We had to write down the four stages of Reconciliation and connect this to the story.  Please visit our classroom to see the work we have completed.  Below are some pictures for you to view.

Sacrament of Reconciliation.

On  Tuesday 7th of May we celebrated our First Reconciliation.  In church we listened to Father Trong and another priest who talked to us about Reconciliation.  After that we all went individually up to one of the priests and said sorry for our sins . Once we had finished talking to the priest he gave us a penance. This was a really special part of our journey with our faith.
