We are learning to use sensory language to build tension in a narrative text. 

VOCABULARY

Narrative: the telling of a story with a sequence of events that is fictional.

Convey: to express a thought or feeling. 

Vivid: a very clear image in your mind.

Sensory language: words or phrases that create a connection to the five senses. 

Tension: the feeling of suspense, uncertainty or anticipation created by conflict in a story.
