Term 2 is so busy in boarding as well as school. Every weekend is football, hockey, and netball, as well as trying to squeeze in fun activities and outings on weekends.
We are patiently waiting for the arrival of our Year 12 Leavers jumpers and will let everyone know as soon as we have a confirmed arrival date.
All Year 11 student parents and carers will soon receive a Consent2Go email regarding our 9-day Northwest Tour that is occurring in the first two weeks of Term 3 from Wednesday 17 July to Friday 26 July 2024. We are currently putting the final touches to the trip and are very excited about the agricultural tours and beautiful camping spots we will be visiting. All students have been reminded today that they must have Good Standing and a high level of maturity to be able to attend the tour, as we are accessing swimming holes, climbing up and down gorges and snorkelling at beautiful Coral Bay. Students must be able to show us that they make good choices and be able to follow instructions.
While pocketknives have a multitude of uses on farms and while camping, there is absolutely no need for students to bring them to school and in to boarding. Infact, it is a severe breach of Department of Education guidelines. Please check in with your child that they are aware that any pocketknives must stay at home.
Students are reminded that they are not to drive up to the Recreation Centre when they arrive or depart the College. The new student car park is close by, so there is no need to drive up to sign out, most students are following the protocol correctly and it is working a treat.
Parents, please remember that there is a 20 km speed limit as you enter and exit the College. Students are running around getting ready to leave and may not be looking out for you as you pick up your child.
