From the Principal Leader
Dear students, staff and parents,
It has been a wonderful start to Term 2 at the College after a well earned school holiday break. I hope that you were all able to enjoy the sunshine, catching up with friends and family. Both staff and students have returned to the College feeling re-energised and ready for another great term of learning growth.
During the next two weeks I will be on leave and Ms Debbie White will be the Acting Principal during this time. Mrs Natalie Vella will be Acting Assistant Principal for Years 7, 9 and 11, supporting Mrs Julie Petrovski our Assistant Principal for Years 8, 10 and 12. I know you will join me in celebrating the College’s strong female leadership and I hope that all students understand there is always a teacher, student leader or support staff member who will be there to guide, care and support them on their learning journey at Chisholm.
During the school holidays I attended the Warragamba ANZAC Day ceremony with several staff including Mrs Rossetto, Mrs Cocks, Mrs Nekic, Mrs Wood, and Mr Cassel and approximately 75 students who proudly marched in their college uniform and laid a wreath during the ceremony. Thank you to all staff, students and parents who were able to attend this service on behalf of Caroline Chisholm College, demonstrating your deep appreciation for the sacrifices given by those who have served. The College has traditionally attended this for at least the last 20 years showing immense regard and respect for our Australian Defence Force personnel past and present who have served or continue to do so to ensure the safety and security of our country. Lest we forget.
We are extremely excited about our upcoming 50th Anniversary event at the College on Saturday 18 May (10 am - 2 pm). All current and past students, staff and families are invited to attend in celebration of our achievements during the last 50 years. There will be memorabilia, tours, performances, displays and much more! I hope to see you at the College to meet up with others in our wonderful community of learning, faith and wellbeing.
I look forward to seeing you all at the 50th Celebration day on 18 May!
May God bless you and keep you safe.
Mrs Tania Cairns
Principal Leader
