Physical Education

Term 1 - Week 8

Regional Swimming -  We had 6 students represent our school at Region swimming. Congratulations to Chloe, Olivia, Ella, Tully, Sophie and Jaeger. They all swam extremely well to make this level. Huge Congratulations to Chloe Harvey-Breddan, who won her individual Butterfly and Freestyle and now progresses to the state level. This is something that Chloe has worked hard for this year and we are very proud of her efforts.

Our girls medley also came second, well done to Chloe - butterfly, Olivia - backstroke, Sophie - breaststroke and Tully - Freestyle. Olivia received a third medal for her swim in the individual breaststroke. Jaeger competed in the breaststoke and swam a great race. Well done team St. John's!

Run Around Australia - The challenge is on! In 2022 we ran the distance from Euroa to Brisbane and we are challenging ourselves to run even further this year. We have already made good grounds, running to Holbrook in the first two days. The students have challenged themselves to run at least one lap every morning and some students are running up to 10.

Physical Education - KIDDO Testing. Students have participated in some annual KIDDO tests over the past two weeks. There has been the kick, 50m run, basketball bounce and the standing long jump. We are chipping away at completing the balance test, which takes a bit longer. We will be able to compare this years results to last years, which I am expecting to be a good improvement in most students. Stay tuned...

Have a great week!
