It’s been another great start to the year for sport at Highvale SC. The year started with the annual House Swimming Carnival, held again at the Oakleigh Rec Centre on Friday the 2nd of Feb. All students from years 7 and 12 attended, as well as selected competitors from years 8 - 11. The day included some great races and times, as well as everyone’s favourite novelty events including the year 7 ring collecting, biggest splash, staff vs year 12s relay and the year 12 inflatables relay.

A big congratulations to our age group champions on the day who were:

  • Junior girls champion: Cathy C.
  • Junior boys champion: Aidan S.
  • Senior girls champion: Isabelle C.
  • Senior boys champion: Ben S

Congratulations once again to Acacia, who continue their run of dominance in House sports, and won the competition by a whopping 185 points!

A special mention goes to our dedicated teachers and sports captains who worked tirelessly to help out with various roles for the event. Their commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment for our students truly shone through.

On the 16th of Feb, the senior sports teams competed in their Term 1 Interschool Round Robin. It was another successful day, both the boys tennis and boys volleyball teams winning the day! They will now go on to compete at Region, against the best schools in Eastern Metropolitan Melbourne. Congrats again and well done to all our competitors!
