Meet Our Staff
Tamara Green
Science / Biology Teacher
I am very excited to have joined Nossal High School this year as a Science / Biology teacher.
I love Biology, in particular cells! I have always worked in government education and have spent the last 22 years teaching at Vermont Secondary College, where I have taught both junior science and senior biology. The move to Nossal has been great and so far, very rewarding. The school is closer to my home “in the hills” and both staff and students have been welcoming.
Outside of school, I love walking, early morning exercise and going out for a meal – especially breakfast! I enjoy visiting the city to go to a show or just to walk through the Botanical Gardens and the Shrine of Remembrance. I also try to get the footy occasionally, as I am a proud Carlton Football Club supporter and member.
You can find me in the Science Office, where I am more than happy to help with your biology questions!
Lyn Clarkson
Health and Physical Education Teacher
I joined Nossal High School in January this year as a Health and Physical Education teacher.
I have previously taught at Wesley College, Penrhos College, MLC Marshmead, Hallam and Camberwell High School.
My interests outside of work include my two dogs, both Cavalier King Charles spaniels. I am heavily involved with Softball, primarily now in a coaching role. I played for Australia in Softball, captaining Victoria for several years. I have also played and coached Western Australia.
My current commitments are as head coach for an open 1 club team and head coach for the Over 35 Victorian State Team.
I have also won tapestry competitions, in the original section, with my own hand drawn designs. This and gardening provide a chill out from the intensities of sport and work.
Watching any sport (played well) is also a great love. Lifelong supporter of the Dees and also support the Dockers, after living in Western Australia for 20 years.
In between my commitments I attend the Blood Bank every two weeks to donate plasma.
