Gospel Mark 9:30-37

“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”

In this week's Gospel, Mark writes how Jesus reminds us that every person, especially the smallest and most vulnerable, is precious in God’s eyes. When we show kindness, care, and love to others, especially children, we are welcoming Jesus Himself. This is a call for us to embrace the values of compassion and service in our everyday lives.

As we go through this week, let us reflect on how we can better welcome others, especially those who may feel overlooked or forgotten. Just as Jesus welcomed the little children, let us open our hearts to all, showing love and kindness in everything we do.
