Celebrating the Activation of Moama Anglican Grammar’s Rowing Program
As detailed in our 2024 & Beyond Strategic Priorities publication, access to broad CHOICES and OPPORTUNITIES within our Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular offering enables our students to experience a balanced and holistic education focused on the development of the whole child.
Such programs create learning pathways that are personalised to student passions and interests beyond the traditional academic and pastoral learning program.
I take this opportunity to ‘shine a light’ on the dedication and commitment of one of our secondary staff, Mr Wynstan Gilbert, who has been working tirelessly to support and enable the establishment of Moama Anglican Grammar’s Rowing Program.
There is significant anticipation and much enthusiasm throughout the Secondary School regarding the activation of this new and exciting program thanks to Mr Gilbert’s passion, enthusiasm, and vision.
On behalf of our school community, I am delighted to announce that in recognition of Mr Gilbert’s efforts to establish The Moama Anglican Grammar Rowing Program, Rowing Victoria, and their Hall of Fame Committee, have recently acknowledged his achievements by inviting him to an awards dinner on Saturday 21 September where he will receive the prestigious 2024 Susie Palfreyman Award for contribution to school rowing.
This is a remarkable achievement and due recognition for all that Mr Gilbert has done and continues to do to set up rowing opportunities for our students.
Congratulations Mr Gilbert!
