Hello, my name is Matteos Kevorkian and I am the 4th School Captain. I am 10 years old. I was born March 30th 2014 and I will be turning 11 this year. My parents are from Iraq. My Mum is Assyrian and my dad is Armenian. Some things I like are soccer, running and math. One of my other hobbies is playing games with family and friends. I was born in Australia with my sister and brother who both came to this school. I do not travel a lot but I have been to Sydney a lot of times and Queensland twice. I had a good time and had fun. At home when I have free time I help my mum, sister and brother. My favourite subject is Math because I like working with numbers and working out equations. My favourite specialist class is Stem because I like how you get to code and find problems on our Chromebooks especially since I like learning about science, technology, engineering and math.

This year I hope to make this school a better place and think about new ideas for the school as a School Captain. I am sure that you will have a safe, respectful and responsible time this year.

When I grow up I want to be a lawyer so I can defend good people in court and help people with things they need to do.  Together let's spread the word of the Lord and love to people in this school community.

Sustainability Leaders

My name is Niamh Anderson and I’m a very eager sustainability leader at our school in 2025. I’m looking forward to making a huge change in our school environmentally. Some of my hobbies are reading, studying rocks, gems, crystals, experiencing things with my family, sewing and hanging out with my dog. I am full of so many ideas that I can’t wait to put into action. Looking forward to working with you as one of your student sustainability leaders. Stay tuned,🌱🌏

My name is Isabella and I am 6C. My hobbies are playing basketball and painting. I am looking forward to being one of your sustainability leaders for 2025. I want to make a change in our school and the environment. May god bless you all.

My name is Kaku and  I’m one of the sustainability leader’s here at OLPS. I’m looking forward to being one of the leaders in 2025 and I will try my best to take care of this school. Some of my hobbies are playing cricket, playing video games and running around.

My name is Larson and I am very excited to be a sustainability leader and help out OLPS. I am a nice guy and I have good behaviour while learning and doing my job. I am really looking forward to recycling bottles that have a 10 cent on their wrap so we could use the money for more school events. If the sustainability leaders are able to collect lots of plastic bottles from each grade then that would mean we can collect a lot of money for our school while also helping the environment.

Sustainability News

This year we are bringing back the 10¢ bottle recycling tubs. The money will be going towards the Year Six Graduation. Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme rewards Victorians with a 10-cent refund for every eligible drink container they return to a refund collection point. At school we would like you to put your plastic drink bottles or prima boxes from the canteen into the black recycling tub near your classroom. You can also bring empty plastic drink bottles or cans from home. No glass bottles please! We would like to thank the Price family who will be taking the bottles we collect to the refund collection point.

New Class Captains

Class Captains were announced at the assembly this week and received a badge. These students display our whole school behaviours of being safe, responsible and respectful in the classroom and out on the yard.  Class captains should be good role models for others, we can't wait to see them out and about helping others.

Bridgewater Behaviour Bucks

Bridgewater Behaviour Bucks will start next Monday, we will come to your classes to hand out the chests and coins.  Each week there will be a junior school winner Prep - Year 3 and a senior school winner in Years 4-6. As a class, you will be able to choose a prize from the list given to your teachers, at the end of the term the class with the most points overall will have an extra special prize. So work hard in your classrooms and help each other out to try and get the most points each week. Good Luck to everyone!

Have a good weekend.
