Foundation to Grade 2 Physical Education

Students in F to 2 have begun the year by working on locomotor skills. These are the skills required to move your body around during physical activity, including running and leaping. So far students have been working on running and leaping over hurdles. They have additionally begun incorporating these skills into various PE games. Next they will be beginning to work on jumping and hopping for the remainder of the term.

Grade 3 to 6 Physical Education

Students in grades 3 to 6 began 2025 by playing minor games to build their sportsmanship and teamwork skills. They have then spent most of the term learning the skills needed to be successful at our Athletics Day coming up at the end of Term 1. Students have started this unit by leaning about throwing events including the Shot-Put and Discus. In the coming weeks they will begin learning the techniques for jumping events including the Long Jump, Triple Jump and High Jump.
