Grade 5/6 News

Grade 5/6 students have had a fantastic start to the year in 2025! Students have settled in well to their new classes and have made some fantastic connections with their peers and teachers.

The start of the year has seen students in 5/6 start our new mathematics program, PRIME maths. Students have been working in their classes to familiarise themselves with the program and learn challenging new concepts such as rounding, prime numbers and whole numbers up to 1,000,000,000. Students have completed their first Knowledge unit on 'World Deserts', where they have learnt about famous deserts around the world and their key features. For our grade 5 students, NAPLAN preparation is well underway with revision of key writing, literacy & mathematics skills being practiced in the classroom.

We are very proud of how all of our students are demonstrating our school values to the younger year levels. Some of our students were recognised with an award for their efforts at our first school assembly in week 4. Our first award winners for the year were:

  • Eman Karam Farvage, 5/6A
  • Mayur Janardhan, 5/6A
