Welcome to Term 1 2025

It was wonderful to welcome all students and families to St Johns Park Public School for 2025. I hope that 2025 has started well for you and your family. Our staff have had 4 days to plan and prepare for a great start to the school year.

Students have been placed into temporary classes until 18 February (with the exception of Support Unit, OC and Preschool classes) as this is the date for each school to submit student numbers. Student numbers determine our school's annual staffing allocation. If there is to be any change made to classes, I will notify and inform families directly. 

Opportunity Class and Selective High School Applications for 2026

Applications for 2026 entry into an opportunity class (OC) or selective high school (SHS) are currently open and close for both on 21 February 2025. Parents and carers of students in Year 4 or Year 6 this year can apply for OC or SHS placement. 

The online application link for parents and carers is available at Selective high schools and opportunity classes until 21 February 2025. Due to the longer application period (from November 2024 to February 2025), parents and carers must apply during the application period as late applications will no longer be accepted.
