News from the Library

A warm welcome to all of our students, staff and families, and a special welcome to all of our new students.
This is the first edition of our fortnightly school newsletter 2025 and we wanted to take this opportunity to provide an introduction to the school library, the services we offer, and how you can access them.
The College library is a focal point for celebrating literature and reading in our community. The library holds books, graphic novels and magazines to meet the diverse interests of students from Foundation to Year 9.
All students have regular opportunities to visit the library and borrow books from the collection. Please see our collection here: Library Catalogue Link .
e-Platform
Our students and staff also have access to borrowing ebooks and audio books via ePlatform by using the following link https://truganinap9.eplatform.co/ or downloading the app on your device. To access the platform you will need to sign into your Google account; click on the book cover; click on borrow and enjoy reading!
Wyndham City Libraries
Wyndham Libraries is the local public library service for the Truganina community. Membership of public libraries is free, and it is free to borrow. Wyndham Libraries have books, magazines, DVDs and digital resources for all ages, and run free activities during the school holidays.
Students and their families are strongly recommended to sign up for a public library membership.

Library sessions
Library sessions have already begun and buzzing with excitement!
Students are encouraged to borrow regularly and explore the different genres and types of books available. All students can borrow 3 books at a time with their class every 3 weeks and are encouraged to treat library books with respect, and return them before their next Library session. Please note, students cannot borrow if they have overdue books.
Library Monitors
We are in the process of setting up Library Monitor rosters and organising a training session for those wishing to become a helper this year. All students from Grade 5 onwards are welcome!
A monitor must undertake a minimum of two shifts per week and should consider their activity before signing up for shifts. If you would like to become a library monitor in 2025, please visit the library.
