Get to know Morgan Brent - F-2 Visual Art Teacher
What is your role in the College? I teach F-2 Visual arts.
What is your favourite colour? I always go for pink, but I also like yellow. Pink and yellow together is the best.
What is your favourite number and why? My favorite number is 4, it's a nice even number for many things. It's also my birthday and my birth year.
What is your favourite book and why? I do more art than read, but my favourite books I have are World of Warcraft Chronicles. The stories in them are so exciting and the pictures are detailed.
What is your favourite food? I love cheese. Tasty, feta, brie, camembert, mozzarella, gouda, many cheese.
What do you like most about teaching and learning? The relationships that are made at school have such a large impact on someone's life, not just the friendships here. I enjoy having the opportunity to be a part of so many students and teachers' lives, even in a small way. Learning about them and learning things from them are the most fulfilling things for me.
Get to know Brodie Spence - Year 4 Classroom Teacher
What is your role in the College? I am a core classroom teacher in the Year 4 cohort this year at Truganina.
What is your favourite colour? If you’ve seen me around the school, you will know I love all the colours. Anything bold and bright is a go to but if I have to pick one colour from them all it would have to be blue.
What is your favourite number and why? My favourite number is 21 as it’s the number of my birthday!
What is your favourite book and why? My favourite books would be history based, I enjoy reading about the past and learning about how the world used to be. I also enjoy mystery books and the suspense of what's yet to come in them.
What is your favourite food? My favorite food depends on how I'm feeling, so today I’m feeling like a big slice of pizza (no pineapple though).
What do you like most about teaching and learning? I love watching the students find enjoyment in their learning and discovering that they can tackle challenging things if they don’t give up. Another thing I enjoy about teaching is learning from the students, they always have facts and random things to tell us and no day is ever the same.
