Staff profiles

Hi everyone, my name is Giorgia Moss, and I am the Mental Health, Wellbeing, and Inclusion Learning Specialist at Williamstown North Primary School. My role focuses on supporting students with additional needs, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and support they need to thrive in a positive inclusive learning environment, and building school capacity to identify students with mental health and well-being concerns.

Key Aspects of My Role:

  • Supporting Students with neurodiversity indicators & additional needs: Collaborate with staff to identify and provide tailored support for all students. This includes implementing strategies that foster social, emotional, and academic growth in alignment with the Victorian Curriculum.
  • Student Support Groups & Meetings: I facilitate Student Support Groups and/or Disability Inclusion Profile (DIP) meetings with staff, families, and external practitioners, ensuring individualised plans and collaborative approaches are in place for each student
  • Social Thinking Sessions: Delivering Social Thinking sessions across Foundation to Year Six, working closely with Education Support staff, and building on students’ social skills and emotional intelligence as part of our whole-school well-being approach.
  • Tracking Well-Being & Safety: Assisting in tracking and addressing any concerns related to student well-being and safety, ensuring that all students receive the care and attention they deserve. This includes working with staff and families to ensure a shared responsibility for every student’s success.
  • Staff Capacity Building: I work with teachers and Education Support staff to build their confidence in supporting students with diverse needs. This includes offering professional development, resources and practical strategies to enhance their practice.

I am contactable via email or school phone, and my office is located in the main building.

Hi everyone, my name is Matt Feeley and this year at Williamstown North Primary School, I hold the position of Acting Well-being Leading Teacher and Attendance Officer. My role is centred around supporting our students' emotional well-being and ensuring regular school attendance.

Promoting Emotional Well-being

Quickly addressing incidents and providing strategies to help students navigate their emotions using the Zones of Regulation is a priority. Our goal is to support students in recognising and managing their feelings effectively. I will also work closely with teachers to help support their management of effective strategies within the classroom.

Prioritising Attendance

Regular attendance is crucial for educational success. I am committed to monitoring attendance closely, addressing absences promptly, and providing tailored support to families needing assistance.

Coordinating Key Programs

I will also be coordinating the review of our school-wide positive behaviour and Resilience, Rights, and Respectful Relationships (RRRR) programs, reinforcing our commitment to creating a safe and positive school environment at Williamstown North Primary School.

Updating Safety Policies

Part of my duties includes reviewing our policies on attendance, bullying, and child safety to ensure they remain effective and are adhered to, maintaining a secure environment for all.

I look forward to working together to create a supportive setting for our students throughout the year. My door is always open if you have any concerns with your child.

Warm regards,

Matt Feeley
