Principal's Report

Dear Parents,

As we approach the end of the term, it is time for our more formal summative assessments. These assessments provide an opportunity to reflect on the learning that has taken place, celebrate successes, and plan for the next steps in our educational journey.

It is important to view individual assessments as snapshots of a student's learning at a particular moment in time. They offer insight into how well our long-term memory has been engaged and provide valuable feedback for both students and teachers. More significantly, these assessments allow us to recognise the growth each student has made and the challenges they've overcome.

We understand that learning occurs at different paces for each student. By focusing on the progress and achievements along the way, rather than just the final outcome, we can celebrate the unique journey of every learner.

These assessments also serve as a tool for teachers to evaluate the effectiveness of their instruction. By analysing the data, educators can identify areas where students are excelling and areas that may require further attention. This process helps in refining teaching strategies to better meet the needs of all students.

In the coming weeks, you will have the opportunity to discuss your child's progress with their classroom teacher. These conversations are invaluable for acknowledging the successes your child has experienced and for planning how we can continue to support their learning in the second half of the year.

We are very blessed to work with such an amazing community and we thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education.

Take Care,

Alyce Lowther

nForma - Reports Online

A reminder that the school reports are only available online this year. There will be no printed copies sent home. In order to access your child’s report, you will need to download the nForma Parent Portal App or log in to the Portal through the website.

Instructions on how to do this are attached. We request that at least one parent/guardian from every family downloads the App or accesses the Portal online prior to the reports becoming available.

Thank you to all the parents/guardians who have already completed this.

Over the coming months, we will be transitioning over to the Parent Portal for all communications, newsletters and attendance as well.
