DISTRICT & DIVISION CROSS COUNTRY SUCCESS!!
On the 20th of May, a total of 60 students across Year 4 - 6 competed in the Seaside District Cross Country Championships, competing in either the 2km or 3km races, held at Dendy Park. Each student gave their absolute best, demonstrating determination, resilience, and true sportsmanship throughout the day. Their collective efforts paid off, with Hampton Primary proudly taking home both the overall championship trophy and the aggregate trophy – a remarkable achievement that reflects the hard work and commitment of every runner involved. Special congratulations goes to the 11 students who qualified for the next stage of competition at the division level, held at Cornish College. We are incredibly proud of all our competitors and their outstanding achievements.
A huge congratulations to the group of Hampton Primary School students who competed at the Division Cross Country Competition held at Cornish College. The level of competition was incredibly high, but our students showed great perseverance, grit and pride in representing the school. A special congratulations goes to Rosie M, Ben H and Florence K, who ran outstanding races and placed in the top 10 of their respective age groups, qualifying for the next stage — the Regional Cross Country Competition. We wish them all the best as they prepare to compete at Hastings Foreshore on the 18th of June.

LOTE
On Friday 6th June, a group of Language Leaders took their Fan Dan to the Chinese Talent Competition organised annually by the Chinese Language Teacher Association. There were 14 performance items, from public and private schools across Victoria including Bendigo region, entered in the competition. Hampton representatives brought their handmade fans and wore simple but cultural outfits of Hanfu, confidently presented their dance on the Ruyton Girls' School stage.
Their strength, beauty and unity were applauded by the crowd and they were awarded one of the major trophies: Best Teamwork Award. Our Language Leaders were thrilled to add the trophy to our school trophy cabinet. Ms Alison Powell and Jeffic are very proud of our dancers for their enthusiasm and consistent effort of two months practice prior to the competition.
