BioCats

By Chayce, Maddie and Tamara

On Tuesday, Year 5 and 6 Koorie students had the opportunity of participating in the BioCats excursion to the GMHBA stadium, learning about training and health aspects for players in the Geelong Cats AFL team. Here are some of their highlights from the day:

Hi, this is Chayce. On Monday, we attended BioCats in Geelong, and we learnt how science, maths and health are apart of the football cycle, and we did a football quiz on how maths and science help you on your football journey. We did an AFL draft combine, which is a draft camp where all of the nominees go to a camp and do challenges with a bunch of selectors. And we would like to thank all of the KESOs and teachers that took us.

Hi, I'm Maddie and I'm Tamara. On Monday, we went to Geelong for the BioCats. We had lots of fun. We had a draft camp and learned how science, math and health is mixed into footy. In the draft camp, we realised how flexible we are and what our height, arm span and leg height is. We also met 4 players from Geelong. Thank you for your time.
