Halo Foundation Families,

This week in English, we explored non-fiction texts. We read a non-fiction text and explored its features, including photographs, facts, contents pages and labels. We used these features to help us identify and sort books into either fiction or non-fiction based on the front cover. We also began our Writing unit on Information Reports, and included some of these features in our writing such as a heading. We will continue to write facts and create another Information Report next week based on our Home Talk. Please ensure you return this by Monday 2nd June.

During Play Based Learning this week, students used their creativity to build our own Foundation Farm. Students worked in teams to make and paint a barn, cow, vegetables and tractor just to name a few things. We are very excited to play in our farm during future Play Based Learning sessions.

Sharing time will start in Week 9. This is where your child will have an allocated day to bring something in to share. Please watch out for communication next week from your classroom teacher.

Kind Regards,

Tegan, Emma and Ash
