Co-curricular - Junior Sport Stage 3

The coming of the King’s Birthday long weekend signals the halfway point of the Winter season. We have now gone through five rounds of Winter sport, although most teams have only managed two or three games so far. Normally, this break is a great opportunity to rest and recover from half a season’s worth of physical activity. This season, it might be that we take the opportunity to train and keep active in preparation for the second half of the Winter season. Whatever your choice, I wish you all an enjoyable time spent with family and friends.
Around this time, as winter weather kicks in, we usually have several boys who become ill and have to miss training or games on Saturday. A reminder that should your son become unwell and is unable to train or play on Saturday, an email must be sent to me and if absent on a Saturday, a medical certificate must be provided please.
Please see below a summary of key dates for training and games around the long weekend and the end of Term 2:

Last week, we had a number of IPSHA trials for Winter sport, namely Rugby and Football. The Junior School was well represented in these trials and all the boys performed well.
Congratulations to the following boys for their selection into the IPSHA teams for the CIS trials:
Rugby
- Malietau Davis and Luca White
Football
- William Kategiannis and Noah Pytraczyk (Barbarians’ team)
