Year 9 Report
Keele Hillas
Dear Year 9 Students and Families,
As we settle into Term 2, it’s been fantastic to see the Year 9 cohort embracing the school values of Respect, Determination and Excellence in both their learning and daily interactions. These values remain at the heart of everything we do, and it's encouraging to see students demonstrating them in the classroom, the yard and beyond.
With the colder months now upon us, we’d like to remind all students and families about our uniform expectations. Students are required to wear full school uniform each day, including correct outerwear. Hoodies and non-uniform jumpers are not permitted. Students are most welcome to have a Navy, Black or White long sleeve on underneath their uniform for extra warmth. School jumpers, jackets and long pants are encouraged to help keep warm while maintaining a sense of pride and belonging in our school community.
We’re also excited to share that a small group of Year 9 girls and boys have been participating in boxing sessions as part of a targeted wellbeing initiative. These sessions are designed to build confidence, resilience and physical fitness in a supportive and structured environment. Students involved have shown great enthusiasm and commitment, and it’s been fantastic to see them engaging positively and developing new skills both mentally and physically.
We have also just had another successful round of Parent Teacher Student Conferences. These are a valuable opportunity to reflect on progress, set goals, and strengthen the partnership between school and home.
A big congratulations to our Students of the Week:
🌟 Lena Saggers – for her consistent effort and positive attitude in class.
🌟 Ethan Wright – for demonstrating leadership and kindness in group work.
🌟 Jefferson Fernando – for excellent progress and a strong commitment to learning.
🌟 Alice Retelj – for her creativity and enthusiasm across all subjects.
Well done to these students for setting a strong example for their peers.
Let’s continue to work together to make this a productive and positive term for all Year 9's!
