Halfway Through Term 2!
It’s hard to believe we’re already midway through Term 2! Time is flying, and there’s still so much coming up in the short time we have left this term for our Year 11 students.
With assessments, School Assessed Coursework (SACs), and mid-year exams on the horizon, it's important that everyone stays focused, organised, and continues making the most of their class and study time.
Great Effort Across the Board
As I’ve been chatting with teachers and staff, I’ve been delighted to hear just how hard our Year 11 students are working in their classes. Many students are using their study sessions wisely and preparing thoroughly for their upcoming assessments.
A special mention goes to our VET students, who have been attending their courses enthusiastically and completing their coursework with maturity and commitment. VET programs operate in adult learning environments, which can be a big step—but it’s been great to see our students rising to the challenge and striving to be their best.
Uniform Reminder & Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences Update
As the weather grows colder, please ensure students continue to wear their correct academic uniform. A reminder that hoodies under our uniform is not permitted if your child needs extra warmth then a long sleeve black V neck t-shirt can be worn or we also encourage to layer up underneath uniform also. If your child needs any uniform items or you require support in obtaining them, don’t hesitate to contact the school—we’re here to help.
This week, we are holding our Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences (PTSC) online. While bookings have now closed, if you were unable to secure a time, we encourage you to reach out to your child’s teachers via email or phone for an update on your child’s progress. We genuinely value the partnership between home and school and are dedicated to keeping you informed and involved in your child’s learning journey or order for them to be successful here at Woodmans Hill Secondary College.
