Live4Life

Our Year 10 students are currently participating in the Live4life program that facilitates training in youth mental health first aid. This training runs across three weeks, one double period per week. Feedback from the presenters has been positive, with students taking advantage of the opportunity to increase their mental health knowledge and raising their awareness of local professional supports available.

Mother’s Day Stall

The year 10 VCE:VM students were super proud of their efforts preparing Woodmans Hill Secondary College's first ever Mother’s Day Stall on Friday the 9th of May. They created bouquets of flowers, painted pots and coasters, keychains and lolly jars for members of the school community to purchase and gift to their family and carers. The initiative raised over a $1000 for the VCE:VM Program!

Interschool Event

Mia Allen recently represented Woodmans Hill Secondary College at the Bacchus Marsh Grammar Interschool Event held at Bacchus Marsh Pony Club. She came 5th overall which is an amazing effort!

Student of the Week

Classroom teachers have been posting numerous merits to Compass this term, acknowledging students who demonstrate the school values. During our last assembly, these students’ names were placed in a hat and one lucky students name was drawn to receive a pizza voucher – Charlotte Czyzewski. Her teachers identified the following strengths:

  • Effective use of class time

  • Demonstrating her best efforts and completing work to a good standard

  • Demonstrating perseverance
