Principal's Report

Dear Families,
One of my favourite parts of being a principal is having children eager to share their learning successes with me. Last week, I had the pleasure of hearing Louis read with fantastic confidence, fluency and expression. Another highlight of the week is participating in a book club with some of our Grade 3 /4 students. We are currently reading one of my favourite novels, “Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nimb,” written by Robert O’Brien.
BRAVEHEARTS
Yesterday, our Foundation, Grade 1 and 2 students had a visit from Ditto and the Bravehearts team. Staff and students thoroughly enjoyed the session.
CARLTON FOOTBALL CLUB VISIT
On Monday the 2nd June representatives from AFLW Carlton Football Club will visit our school. They will do a kick to kick with the Grade 3 to 6 students followed by a Q & A session. (1.30pm-2.30pm)
GYMNASTICS
Next week students across the school will participate in the Jets Gymnastics Program. Last year students thoroughly enjoyed these sessions. Hopefully this year will be equally enjoyable.
Timetable for those wanting to observe the session.
Grades | Time |
---|---|
4, 5 & 6 | 11:30am to 12:30pm |
2 & 3 | 12:30pm to 1:30pm |
Foundation & 1/2F | 1:30pm to 2:30pm |
For Monday only, these times will run 30 minutes earlier to allow for the Carlton Football Club visit. Jets Gymnastics were very accommodating to make this change.
Due to a busy week, there will be NO hot lunches or pub orders next week.
