Visual Arts

This term in Visual Art we have been very busy focusing on our Paper Mache unit! The theme of our Paper Mache is Australian Wildlife, such as Kangaroos, Koalas, Emus, Kookaburras, and Wombats.

Students began by choosing their Australian animal and constructing a base model for their animal using recycled materials in the Art room. We are currently painting the models, and will finish them with multi-coloured dot paint.

Our Paper Mache unit has been planned with a focus on developing presentation skills, as students learn to make creative and expressive choices, and creating Artwork relating to a theme. Its been great to see how these models have developed so far!

In Term 4, we will finish our Australian Wildlife models, collaborate with others to make canvas art, and get involved in Christmas craft!
