Trivia Night Success

On Saturday evening CHAPS, the school’s Parents’ Association, hosted a hugely successful Trivia Night.

The event brought the community together for loads of laughs and raised almost $15,000, which is a wonderful reward for the tireless work of our CHAPS volunteers. On behalf of the community, an enormous thank you to the team.

Thank you to our sponsors for their generous Silent Auction donations and Raffle prizes.

As the community is aware, this year's fundraising efforts will contribute to the overall cost of the pending project of converting our Prep/Junior oval to an all-weather synthetic surface. During the evening I also shared with the community our next project, which students Riley and Allison have helped design, a ninja warrior playground outside the stadium!  It is hoped that will be installed mid 2024.

Wakakirri

On Tuesday evening our Wakakirri performers put on a wonderful show and took home a plethora of awards:

  • Storytelling Theme and Concept (the main award of the evening!)
  • Ensemble Choreography
  • Lead Cast Acting
  • Production Award for Sets, Props and Costumes
  • Stage Managers’ Teamwork

Once again I’d like to thank and acknowledge Ros Lawrence for leading our Performing Arts showcases – you are a wonderful asset to the community, Ros! Thank you also to teacher, Allannah Watterson for your dedication to preparing the performance and to parent helpers, Lydia, Kobe and An.

Reminder: Department of Education Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Survey

One week in, we have had 15% of families participate in the Department of Education’s annual  Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Survey. Thank you.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey is open until Friday 8 September 2023. Please see the Compass post pinned to the top of your Compass Newsfeed to complete the survey.
