Hi all Sports Fans

Unfortunately the athletics were postponed for Friday and rescheduled for next Tuesday 12th September.  The program will remain exactly the same.  I hope for those who had found a way to get Ballam Park on Friday are still able to come down and help support the students.

Two local sporting clubs visited our school this week.  The Aspendale Cricket Club ran a free clinic after school on Thursday and was well attended.  They have cricket programs for kids of all ages.  There is a "Come and Try Day" on Sunday 10th September at Regents Park.

AspiStars Gymnastic Club ran clinics for year 1s and 3s this week.  They had not long finished a gymnastics program in P.E so they were able to show off their skills, as well as improve their tumbling, balancing and flexibility.  For those that are interested, their contact details can be found at: https://aspistars-gymnastic-club.business.site/

On the last day of term, St Louis "Footy Day" will be in full swing.  Footy comes in many guises.  If you barrack for the Carlton Blues, Real Madrid, the All Blacks, Denver Broncos or County Cork - wear your colours and be prepared to have a kick.  Mr O'Brien has organised the trailer from the "Have a Ball Foundation".  It's a great way to bring smiles on the faces of young children by providing sporting balls to kids in remote schools and communities in Outback Australia and to encourage a healthy, active, and fun sporting life.  Ya gotta luv September!

Yours in Sport
