The second last week of Term Three has been action packed. This included the celebration of Mass for two of our Year 6 classes who are on their journey to the sacrament of Confirmation, Gymnastics lessons for Year 1 and Year 3 run by an external provider - 'Aspystars', a Twisted Science incursion for our Prep students, a Year 5 excursion to Scienceworks and Federation Square, a number of students from Year 3 to Year 6 competing in the Chelsea District Athletics competition and the many learning experiences that were prepared and presented throughout the week.
Our Principal's Journey
This week we have heard from Carmel as she continues on her spiritual journey along the Camino. She is evidently embracing the experiences and beauty that she is witnessing. I have included some photos of the beautiful churches and architecture she has experienced. As a community we will continue to keep her in our prayers as her journey continues.
Working Bee
On Saturday we had a working bee where members of our community came together to complete a number of jobs that were required. This included painting, garden edging and the never ending distribution of mulch around the school. A huge thank you to the families and staff who were able to assist during the morning. Your work is truly appreciated.
Garden Submission
Our wonderful Garden Team has put a submission in for the 'Best edible Garden' in the Victoria in Bloom Awards by the state government. It highlights all of the many wonderful things that happens at St Louis in our Garden. Here are a couple of pieces of the submission.

Last Day of Term 3
On Friday we will be celebrating our Annual Footy Day. This is a footy colours dress day and our students will be involved in rotational activities followed by a parade in the hall. We will also be supporting the 'Have a Ball' foundation where we ask that balls and footy boots are donated. This collection will commence at 8.30am in the area alongside the tram. The purpose of this initiative has been established to put smiles on the faces of young children by providing sporting balls to kids in remote schools of outback Australia and to encourage a healthy, active, and fun sporting life as well as raise money to support the health and well-being of indigenous children.
School will conclude at 1pm on this day.
May the blessings of God be with you and your family.
