2023 NAPLAN Celebrations

I am very excited to share that our 2023 NAPLAN results have been very impressive and congratulations must be passed on to all our Year 3 and Year 5 students for their diligence. But, I would also like to acknowledge all the staff at Springvale Rise Primary School as it is genuinely very clear that all the hard work that we have been doing as a whole school over many years (improving our teaching and learning practice) is clearly paying off. Please find below a couple of snapshots of our results - two from Year 3 and two from Year 5. We are particularly pleased with our Year 5 Numeracy results which show that have 10% more students achieving at the exceeding or strong proficiency level than other schools similar to ours.  If you would like some help interrupting this informaiton, please speak to Mrs Stubbings, Miss Jamar or myself.

Parent Opinion Survey 

Our annual Parent Opinion Survey has once again been distributed to all parents in the hope that we obtain feedback from as many parents as possible. In the first couple of days, we had forty (40) responses which was absolutely fantastic. (All families who contact the office or email Mrs Stubbings or Miss Jamar saying they have completed the survey will go into a draw to win some movie tickets for the school holidays!!!) As always, our families who speak languages other than English, are well supported by our multi-cultural education assistants with personalised phone calls and offers of help at school to complete the survey. Please just ask as we genuinely want to hear from you.

Springvale Rise Primary School Website Upgrade 

School Council are happy to announce that the school has commenced working on our new website.  The website should be live by early next term if all goes to plan. Any parents who are keen to provide some creative input and / or give feedback on functionality throughout the testing phase are welcome to pass on their details to me and I will ensure that I keep you informed throughout the process. Arnold Prades our technician and Julie Raciti our Hub Leader (who has a family member who is very well versed in this field) are helping to keep us all on track. We will be very excited to launch something new and innovative. Watch this space!
