Literacy

This week we have discussed and written about fairytales. We worked in groups of 3 to write what happened at the beginning, middle and end of The Three Little Pigs. Students were encouraged to work together to decide who should write which part and try to make their retell flow. The children enjoyed reading their stories back to the class. Well done to Darcy who was at an appointment during this activity but when he arrived at school, hewanted to complete one on his own.

Numeracy

This week we continued our work with Subtraction. Students have practised using number lines to help them with their problem solving.

We also started a science unit about 'Weather' last week. In Maths, we made a class graph to see what Prep C's favourite type of weather was. Sunny was most popular while Windy and Rainy weather was our least favourite.

Book Week

Thank you to all of our families for helping the children with their book week costumes. Everyone looked fabulous!
