In Writing this week, we are learning to create and revise our own explanation texts.

VOCABULARY

Explanation Text: It explains how or why something happens, or gives information on how to do something.

Revise: To make corrections to improve the work. 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

With your child, they are to research topics that they would like to write an Explanation Text on. 

Some examples could be: 

• How a bike works 
• How volcanoes erupt 

From this, students are to continue to use the structure and guiding questions to build their explanation texts; next, with your child revise and make improvements to their work.
