Executive Principal

Welcome back to Term 1. The term has begun with a strong sense of energy and engagement across the school, highlighted by the successful Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary Swimming Carnivals held early in the term. It was encouraging to see such high levels of participation, sportsmanship and house pride across both events. Congratulations to Vikings, who were crowned overall winners following the completion of the two carnivals.
Our e-bike program continues to gain momentum, with increasing numbers of students enrolling in and completing the required course. This program is an important initiative that promotes safe riding practices, responsible behaviour and compliance with school expectations. Students who complete the course are issued with a PBC ID plate for their bike, helping to ensure safety and accountability within our school community. Remember from April 20, only E-Bikes with a PBC issued ID plate will be able to park on school grounds.
NAPLAN will take place for our Year 7 and Year 9 students in Weeks 7 and 8. These assessments play an important role in measuring student progress in literacy and numeracy and assist teachers in planning and refining learning programs. We encourage families to support students during this period by ensuring they are well rested, attend school on assessment days and approach the tests with confidence.
We look forward to another productive and positive term at PBC, with many learning opportunities and activities ahead for our students.
