A Message from the Deputy Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,
What a great start to the school year, it’s been wonderful to see students returning with smiles, confidence, and curiosity.
Parent Teacher Conversations & Questionnaire
This year we’ve brought our Parent Teacher Conversations forward to help us begin the year with strong partnerships. Meeting earlier allows you to share important insights about your child, discuss their strengths and challenges, and collaborate with the teacher on how we can best support them.
These early conversations are designed as an opportunity for parents to share information about their child, rather than an academic report. Teachers will be listening and gathering insights to help guide planning and support for the year ahead.
To help guide these conversations, please complete a short questionnaire by Monday 9 February. Please complete a separate questionnaire for each child.
Details regarding how to book your Parent Teacher Conversation were sent via Audiri on Tuesday of this week.
Assembly News
As shared via Audiri last week, assemblies will look a little different in 2026. We’re moving from level assemblies to class assemblies, giving each class more time to showcase their learning. All students will have the opportunity to speak during their class presentation if they wish.
Alongside our 11 class assemblies, we’ll hold several special assemblies throughout the year for specialist programs and other important events. Assemblies will be fortnightly on Thursdays and dates will be announced in the newsletter calendar.
Our first assembly of the year will be presented by MLA 3 next week (Thurs12th February).
Please note assemblies now begin at 2:30 pm, and all parents and visitors must sign in at the entrance to the hall, in line with child safety requirements.
Online Permission Forms
We are currently exploring the option of completing permission forms for excursions and camps in an online/digital format. We value your feedback on this, please let us your thoughts via this short survey.
Warm regards,
Sarah Goulding
Deputy Principal
