Reading

This fortnight in Reading, students have been exploring the key features of fiction and non-fiction texts. They have been identifying differences such as text structure, language features, and purpose, and using this knowledge to better understand a range of texts.

Alongside this, students have been preparing for NAPLAN by practising important skills such as skimming and scanning for information, locating key details, and answering a variety of comprehension questions. They have also completed practice quizzes and had the opportunity to work through real NAPLAN-style questions to build confidence and familiarity with the test format.
