Student Wellbeing

Student Engagement at Corpus Christi 2026
Dear Families,
It has been wonderful to welcome all our beautiful children back to school. They have returned full of excitement and eager to share stories from their holiday experiences, and our classrooms are once again filled with energy, laughter and learning.
In 2026, we will continue to prioritise our children’s wellbeing and social–emotional learning through structured wellbeing lessons and our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework. Students will take part in whole-school experiences that promote wellbeing, inclusivity, and encourage them to be the very best versions of themselves.
This year, we are also introducing a weekly PBL focus rule. This rule will guide our weekly PBL lessons and serve as a whole-school focus throughout the week. We will share the weekly PBL rule in each newsletter to keep families informed. This approach supports consistency and predictability for all students.
POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR FOR LEARNING
The weekly PBL rule is drawn from our Behaviour Matrix. We look forward to another positive year ahead following our school expectations and having a whole school approach.
This week’s PBL focus is:
We are SAFE (Learning Time)
Students will be learning to walk safely in the classroom and push in their chairs to help keep everyone safe.
Unleashing Personal Potential (UPP)
On Tuesday, our Year 5/6 students participated in the UPP A.S.P.I.R.E program, an engaging and energetic incursion focused on leadership, teamwork, and personal growth. Through a series of interactive challenges and activities, students were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, communicate effectively, and reflect on the importance of resilience and positive choices. It was wonderful to see our students working collaboratively, supporting one another, and demonstrating our school values in action.
Child Safe Standards
Child safety remains our highest priority within our school community. This year, our staff will continue to strengthen and maintain our compliance with the 11 Child Safe Standards.
To support best practice and ensure the ongoing safety and wellbeing of our students, we will focus on one Child Safe Standard each month, using the MACS Care resources. This intentional monthly focus will assist staff to meet compliance requirements while continuing to build a strong and positive child-safe culture across our school.
Please take a look at the MACS Care - Child Safe Standard parent / carer newsletter below.
