Parents & Friends Association

Year 2 Lunch runners

A big welcome back to the School year from the P&F!

The Parents and Friends Association warmly invites you to attend the 2024 Welcome Back Barbeque on Wednesday 6 March, from 5:00-8:00pm, in the Central Courtyard. This is our school community's opportunity to welcome in the new school year, meet fellow families, teachers and your School executive over some food and entertainment. We will have performances from our students, so lots of fun for everyone! If you are planning on attending the Barbeque, please register by 8:00pm on Monday 4 March for catering purposes. We cater for gluten free and vegetarian options of burgers and sausage sizzle. The P&F are providing one free hotdog or burger per person to those who book via the Try Booking link here. Cut off dates are strict so please book your spot asap to ensure your place. Students from Year 4 will soon have the chance to audition for Miss Burbage to be the amazing talent for the evening! Miss Burbage will also take to the mic to entertain families.

The P&F AGM is on Wednesday 13 March, we welcome all families to attend. Not only do we elect our new Committee it’s also a chance to hear from our Principal Anne Ford, our Head or Primary Tracey Rogers and Business Manager Derek Heatherly about the previous year and the way forward in 2024.

All good things must come to an end and last year we farewelled a long-standing member of our committee. Natalie Smart has been an active and enthusiastic member of our school community and P&F for many years and we wish her all the best as her lovely family transition to life beyond high school. Thank you Natalie for your invaluable expertise and friendship.

I also will be stepping down at this year's AGM as my own children's time at JWACS ended in 2022. It is with mixed feelings that I say goodbye to you all. This community is a wonderful place for your children to grow and learn but also for you to make dear friends and have fun. Make the most of your journey at JWACS because one day it will be just a memory.
