ASHES TO GO

The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on 14 February. For Christians, this is a time of spiritual reflection and preparation for Easter. On Ash Wednesday, Chaplain Justine will be available at the front gate before school and in the playground during recess to ‘ash’ students, staff and parents. This involves a short blessing and receiving the sign of the cross on the forehead. Everyone is welcome to participate.

BAPTISMS and CONFIRMATIONS

Traditionally, Lent is a time when people prepare to be baptised and confirmed in the Christian Church. If you would like to inquire about being baptised (sometimes called Christening) and confirmed, or you would like to know more about membership of the Anglican Church in Australia, please contact Chaplain Justine on 9495 8151 or jcoverdale@jwacs.wa.edu.au
